Handling Information

Starting Jan. 1st 2007 ALL clients will need to print and sign the handling contract.  Clients who have already signed a contract will need to sign the new revised contract.  Please note that the following services are on a limited bases.  Thank you!  I plan to apply for my judges license in the late Summer, at which time I am approved I will no longer be handling.   Please contact me directly for information about private lessons and seminars.

Terms Of Service

We do our very best to make sure that every dog get the same, equal and best treatment available.

Bills due upon receipt, Interest charges at the rate of 1.5% on unpaid balances after 30 days.  Cash awards will be retained by the handler.  All phone calls will be collect. In the case of ring conflicts I will use my best judgment and either pull the dog or find another suitable handler to cover the dog. Dogs must be current on all shots and be free of parasites. Handling fees will be charged unless entry is cancelled before closing of entries. Handler is not responsible for any accident that might occur while dog is in her care.  All clients must read and sign our handling contract prior to leaving a dog in our care.  All dogs are charged a portion of expenses to be divided between clients.  Shows where it is necessary to fly the owner will be responsible for all expenses as well as handling fees.

Rates  

• Handling:

Please not that ALL dogs are charged a portion of the show expenses, dogs traveling to and from the show with me are required to pay additional board fees as well as mileage. 

All Breed Specials Class $75 (Champions)

All Breed Class Dogs, $70  Long coated breeds,  $65 smooth coated breeds (Non-Champions) extra charge for dogs with mats!

Specialties, $100 all dogs.

Puppy Rate for dogs under 1 year, $60

Sweepstakes as additional class, N/C

 Sweepstakes only, $50

Nationals and Westminster fees on request, Bench shows, invitational shows, shows that require flying and certain larger shows may have additional charges that will apply.

• Grooming:     

Basic grooming for the ring is included in handling fee for dogs that come to the show bathed. (additional charges will be made for dirty or mated dogs.)  Dogs with fleas, lice or other parasites will be charged according to what it takes to remove them from the dog.

Coated breeds with bath and blow out $50, extra charge for matted dogs or flea baths.  

Coated Breeds Just Trimming $30 for a quick trim, $50 and up for full body and stripping work.  Please note that there is an extra charge for dogs with mats.  The basic charge is for dogs who are trimmed at least once per month.  Those dogs with extreme grow out or first time trims are more for the first trim.

Smooth coated breeds $20 bath and nails trimmed.

• Board:

We only offer board for dogs traveling with us.

Per day: $15

• Transportation: 

To shows, .20 per mile

Travel to Airport $30 (Portland)  $100 (Seattle, only on special request)

To vet $35

• Additional fees: 

Best in Show $350

Group 1 $100

Group 2 $75

Group 3 $50

Group 4 $30

Per Point $10 (towards championship)

Specialty Best in Show $150

National Specialty Best in Show $250

Availability 

Due to the small number dogs we will accept there is often a need to make reservations for certain large shows. We only carry a maximum of 8 dogs per show.
